Our Database provides instant interpretations on various Code Clauses
HSB Global Standards, in cooperation with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), has developed a sortable, searchable database of annotated code interpretations. In the database you'll find complete text of interpretations from the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Interpretations are provided dating from 1977, and have been reviewed by HSB Global Standards' Codes and Standards staff to determine the current status of each.
In the event that an interpretation has been classified as "Caution" or "Out of Date", we've provided notes to help clarify the status of the interpretation. Explanatory notes have also been provided for interpretations identified as cautionary. The annotations are exclusive to HSB Global Standards' Code Interpretations database and represent yet another example of added value for our Clients/Partners.
In addition to the ASME Interpretations, interpretative information is also provided for other codes such as the European Community's Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), and the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC).
